Columbus Downtown Entrance Park
Project Description:
The Columbus Downtown Entrance Park is an important gateway for visitors arriving in downtown Columbus and a key connection between the city and Flatrock River. The site includes several local monuments and memorials for public service that will be redesigned and integrated into a new cohesive park design. The park is currently divided by State Road 46 and has been overgrown and underutilized for years. The park redesign builds on the design legacy of Columbus and connects to significant adjacent planning and redevelopment projects that will transform the riverfront and downtown Columbus. The new park will be a signature destination public green space for residents and visitors alike.
