Project Description: 

Designed to honor its agrarian landscape, the Hamer Community Conservation Center will become a hub for community engagement and environmental stewardship in Central Pennsylvania. Located on a 10-acre site in the heart of the Spring Creek Watershed, the new Hamer Community Conservation Center, ClearWater Conservancy’s first permanent headquarters, will serve the community through a variety of environmental education and conservation leadership initiatives. From the Center, visitors can traverse new trails to experience the extensive restored pollinator meadow and revitalized riparian corridor along Spring Creek. Merritt Chase worked with Bohlin Cywinski Jackson and ClearWater Conservancy on concept planning and landscape design for the new Center.
