Pecar Farm
Project Description:
Pecar Farm extends the Eskenazi Health mission of health and wellness from the main hospital campus to the preventive health care center. The farm addresses issues of health, food security, and inequality by providing a fresh, healthy, and local food source at the center of a disenfranchised community. The farm and open space will include row crops, a pollinator garden, meditation garden, apiary, greenhouse and chicken coop, and gathering areas. The farm will be managed by Indy Urban Acres, a project of the Indianapolis Parks Foundation.
