University School Lower School Play Park
Project Description:
University School Lower School is a private, all-boys school outside of Cleveland in Shaker Heights, Ohio. The landscape of the Lower School campus is undergoing multiple transformations, including the renovation of a large playground, a practice sports field, arboretum, and new Middle School building.
The playground and practice sports field renovations are currently under construction. The design of the wooden playground was inspired by playground designs submitted by current students that included forts, bridges, towers, and obstacle courses.
An arboretum is being established as an on-campus learning landscape. The design of the arboretum includes an outdoor classroom and council ring, vernal pool, wood trails, and boardwalk
